Our journey began in 2014, when I, Misty McKenzie, set out to create a work-life balance that allowed me to be a full-time mom first while still earning a great income. What started as a personal mission quickly became a thriving business, and body sugaring became my perfect canvas for creativity and connection.
From the beginning, my goal was to establish a warm and welcoming space where plants thrived, clients felt at ease, and relationships flourished. Over the years, The Sugar Shack has evolved into so much more than a sugaring studio.
It became a source of financial stability for my family, especially during a time when my husband was unable to work due to an injury. It also became an avenue for me to contribute something meaningful to the beauty industry—pure, effective products and comprehensive training that set a new standard for sugaring professionals.
💡 Our Training Program is Unlike Any Other
We go above and beyond traditional programs to ensure our students gain:
- A deep understanding of the sugaring technique
- The confidence to take on clients immediately after certification
With The Sugar Shack, students have up to three months to complete our online program at their own pace. Additionally, we offer personalized support through one-on-one FaceTime sessions or in-person training days with me, Misty. For those who prefer an immersive experience, we also provide a four-day, hands-on training option.
Beyond the technical skill of sugaring, I want my students to experience the freedom that comes with working for themselves in a respected, fulfilling career. Sugaring isn’t just about smooth skin—it’s about connecting with incredible women in your community in a meaningful way.
